Dear Makutsi, management and staff

I had the great pleasure of staying with you all the week before last, my workmates are starting to get bored of me singing your praises. From my arrival to departure, the experience was tremendous, the family and all the staff from front desk, guide and hospitality were amazing and in between it all the Game Drives were unbelievable, I managed to see all the Big ones, on my first day, with my Cheetah drive an absolutely fantastic experience. People will not believe I stood about 5-6 metres from the male, taking photos.

Your food was top quality and unpretentious, bar prices were amazing in comparison to NZ. Here I pay R75 for a can of beer! The dining room staff were more than helpful, especially, when I felt unwell, Maria, fussed over me when I asked for a hot lemon drink with honey, before I retired to my bed, to be miserable for the day.

The facilities, ie pools, shop, internet access & general ground were impeccably presented and maintained. Your guides were first rate, knowledgeable, polite and humorous and all with their own fields of expertise. Tell Werner, he is forgiven for passing that bug to me (It is still hanging around even now).

I will certainly be entertaining the idea of returning to partake of your unique hospitality, mind first I have to holiday in Sweden and catch up with Marianne !!

Thank you all once again, now I am trying to convince my daughter and husband to visit. I have some lovely photos but there again I imagine you have thousands to from already.

See you one day soon

Videos – Makutsi from above

From mid December 2014 to mid January 2015 we experimented filming Makutsi from above using a Drone with a GoPro camera attached. We focused mainly on the camps and the scenery, as the movement from above of the drone and the wide angle of the GoPro give you such a unique perspective. There will be many more videos to come in the near future, for now we hope you enjoy this introduction to Makutsi, viewed from above.
